6.5 Upgrade UHF radio firmware

User - Upgrade UHF radio firmware

	Upgrade the UHF modem of the internal radio of the GS14 /GS16 or of the slot-in radio SLR5 /SLR6 on GS15.
	Upload the firmware from the SD card. One .u20/.u27 (GS14 ), .u27 (GS16 /SLR6 ) or .u17 (SLR5) file must be stored in the \SYSTEM directory of the SD card.
	Start the firmware upgrade.

The upgrade process includes:

	Checking the validity of the firmware file
	Uploading the firmware file
	Installation of the firmware
	Error handling

Wait until the upgrade is finished. You are informed when the upgrade is finished. The GS must be restarted after the upgrade.

Description of columns

Column	Description
Device type	The available UHF radio modem.
Firmware	The firmware version currently installed on the UHF radio modem.

To upload firmware
Check radio firmware file on GS SD Card (System folder).
Click

Load new firmware.

If the *.u17/*.u20/*.u27 file is in the \SYSTEM folder of the SD card, the firmware upgrade process starts immediately. Otherwise an error message is displayed.

Only one valid *.u17/*.u20/*.u27 file must exist in the \SYSTEM folder of the SD card.

To install firmware
Uncheck radio firmware file on GS SD Card (System folder).
Click

Load new firmware.
