5.1 Operation mode and antenna selection


Operating mode

To define if the instrument is used as base or as rover. This selection defines the availability of fields in the Webserver.

Antenna selection

Description of fields

Field Option Description 
Antenna type Selectable list Listed are antennas in the instrument’s System RAM. Leica Geosystems antennas are predefined as default and can be selected from the list. Default antennas contain an elevation dependent correction model. New antenna correction models can be transferred from the SD card to the instrument. 
Antenna measuring height Editable field Sets the default antenna height. This height is then used for all Static measurements. 
Antenna moving height Editable field Sets the default antenna height for auto points and for the moving part of a track when logging raw observations. Available for Set operating mode:Rover

refresh the view click
save the antenna settings to the instrument click
transfer an antenna file from the SD card click

The antenna file must be a list.ant file and must be in the GPS folder of the SD card.
 


RTK base position

Available for Set operating mode:Base.

Description of fields

Field Option Description 
Coordinate system settings WGS84 Geodetic , WGS84 Cartesian or Local Grid To view other coordinate properties. 
Coordinate fields Editable field Negative numbers cannot be entered. The numbers must be valid on their own without conversions.
